These fabric boots from Asolo are a little tight and narrow, but prove reasonably comfortable on the hill, courtesy of ample padding on the ankle cuff and a good lacing system, which keeps your feet comfortably in place. The stiff midsole will suit some, and they are very supportive, lightweight and breathable.

Verdict: Definitely worth a try if you’ve got narrow feet. They’re very lightweight and have a modern sporty design that will appeal to younger walkers.
