A classic-looking all-rounder that coped well with both boggy hillsides and more rocky trails. It has a reasonably stiff midsole, about perfect for this kind of boot, and an excellent outsole that felt aggressive enough on softer ground yet still performed confidently on rock. The Gore-Tex liner worked perfectly throughout. They did feel a little warm on milder days – a small complaint on such a versatile boot. The fit is perhaps a tiny bit wider than average, but the lacing works well enough to provide a stable fit and the padding on the tongue and cuff felt about perfect.
