Review: A full-leather boot with a warm and supportive 2.6-2.8mm upper and a Gore-Tex membrane for waterproofness. Fitwise, it’s slightly broader than average and although the leather upper felt a little uncompromising on first wear, it quickly softened to feel wonderful. It features a good rand so didn’t look too battered after a few rocky outings, and the toe and heel protection made sure crampon straps didn’t dig in. Shallower tread than some, so better grip on rock than mud or snow, and a little heavy, but overall, a good compromise if you walk mostly on the rough stuff.

First impression it looked as if it was ideal for what i wanted. A shop in Ambleside was selling them cheap approx £80 so i bought some. First time i used them a roller came out of the lacing system. And im finding them very hard on.. the top of my foot due to lack of padding on the tongue. To break them in im taping orthopedic felt to the sore part of my foot. This seems to be working .Once broken in i think they will be great.If they dont cripple me first. Wish id have bought the Manta.!
