An excellent all-rounder that offers superb value for money. Quite a broad fit, but the lacing’s excellent so most walkers should be able to get some stability. And it’s well-padded, so feels good off the shelf. It’s not as high at the ankle as some – better for easier going – so not as stable as others on really rough terrain, but it does have good protection at the toe and heel and also stayed dry throughout the test courtesy of a Gore-Tex lining.
