This is a true multi-fuel stove as it can use gas as well as all the flammable liquids. This is an ideal combination if you want one stove for a weekend away as well as something with more punch and choice for longer trips. It’s a respectable weight at 426g for the burner and fuel pump, and packs down pretty small. On petrol it can boil half a litre of water in a little over three minutes, while its performance on gas will vary as all gas stoves do. The burner folds out to create a 19cm diameter foot span and pan supports, making this more stable than most stoves with larger pans. You also get good flame control, unlike some petrol stoves. This is a good all-rounder that would satisfy a variety of users. But you don’t get a windshield and adding one would improve the boil time. The Go System Flexifuel is £25 cheaper, but the Markill Phoenix is more powerful and lighter – but is the price justified? Like all petrol stoves a little more care is required when lighting, too. There are lighter options around if you just want a gas stove.

Fuel type gas, refined petrol, unleaded petrol, paraffin and diesel
Also included stuffsack, instructions, tool kit
Packed size 15x10x10cm
Pan support diameter 19cm
Boil time (500ml) approx 3 min 15 sec throughout fuel life
Weight 426g stove and fuel pump (+fuel and fuel bottle)
Made in Korea

Verdict
A true multi-fuel option that could be ideal if you want one stove that does everything reasonably well, but the price tag is a little high.
