This stove weighs 94g (+ gas); boil time 3 min to 6 min 20 sec; 12cm diameter pan supports; folding pan supports for compact packing; piezo electric ignition; titanium materials reduce weight. But not as stable as lower-profile stoves; best boil time is only available with fresh gas canister; higher price due to piezo ignition.

Verdict
An excellent lightweight stove with piezo ignition for easier lighting in all weather.

Received thisstove as my free gift for subscribing to Trail in April so top marks for value. Spent a week in Buttermere in July camping with the family and had forgotten hose for main cooker. Used this for 2-3 meals per day and it worked a treat. It boils my kettle faster than my home one and can even take my largest saucepan (8.5 inch diameter) without a wobble. Overall top marks for both performance, build quality and value. Ideal for backpackers in my opinion.

I bought this one after spending ages on the net checking out alternatives. I experimented with petrol, caming gaz and meths stoves for my LEJOG by measuring fuel usage, time, and refuelling costs for each one. Gas was the best, but the bulkiest, so I looked at lightweight version. The Markill won on weight and piezo start, meaning I didn't have to carry the additional 50 grammes for my lighter. For 14 days, I cooked three meals a day for 2 people, plus tea brews, and found this gear to be perfect. It was stable enough under all conditions, and packed away so small, I could fit the stove, a fuel canister and tea/coffee brew kit into one billy. It's main rival for me was the Jetboil, but I was cooking for two, so this was the best option. I cannot fault this, and it outperforms my other stoves by miles.
