This camping stove is excellent value; lightest stove we tested; fantastic boil time; packs very small. But arms very flimsy and bend easily; very fiddly to put together.

Boil time: 2min 37sec

Weight: 76g

Verdict:  Buy it if you want one of the lightest gas stoves on the market.

I've had one for a few years and it's still going strong. I can't understand the comments about the pan supports being flimsy. Yes, it is a lightweight stove and the pan supports will bend slightly if the stove is dropped on a hard surface - so probably best not to do that. In normal use I have never had a problem with the pan supports. They are pretty wide so fairly stable - an MSR Titan kettle fits perfectly. Like all canister stoves, the design is inherently unstable, especially if you use small cartridges, but a set of plastic stove legs improves things hugely for almost no extra weight. The stove packs down to about the size of a box of matches yet will boil a full pot of food or water using only c6g of gas. I don't understand chuckles' comment about it being difficult to clean. Gas burns very cleanly, leaving no residue whatsoever. The stove should not need cleaning unless you're dropping your dinner on it. It can be had for less than £20 these days but even at £25 it is extremely good value. Highly recommended.

I have had one for just over a year and it has done me well. It is a ideal size to pack down and easy enough to fix together. It can take any size pot on in and easy to light. Only down sides to it are it is difficult to clean, and there is nothing built on to the stove for wind shield apart from that it is worth the £25 that I spent on it.

I had one that jammed open and I ended up breaking it in half trying to fix it. But fair play to it, that was coming up for two years on use.

I got another one to replace it. I just love the simplicityof it.

Mine siezed in the open position after perhaps 10 uses. I could not unscrew the burner, the top two arms were loose but the bottom one (arm 3 i think it's numbered) appeared to have stuck itself (melted?) to the black plastic cap on the main body.

I got it replaced ok, not used the new one enough to know if there's a problem. The old one went wrong at the same time my gas can ran out, and the flame went down to a little orange glow sitting in the burner, possibly a cause , but it doesn't mention it in the instructions.

Otherwise it works really well, though needs a wind shield of some sort. The little arms are surprisingly grippy, so pots don't slide about as much as you'd expect.

Flimsy?

Not really, if you always fold the numbered legs in the same way as they were shipped there's never an issue. The plastic locating pins wear out though, and that's where it can get tricky. Great wee stove.
