This Trekmates Flexi Tanker hydration system has just a tiny screw cap opening, making it awkward to fill and almost impossible to clean. The Trekmates Flexi Tanker is a solid reservoir that’s easy to handle and the water it delivers is taste-free. Bite valve gives a slow flow rate, but does have an on/off tap.

Verdict Not the best performer, but well built and excellent value at just £11. The one to buy if you’re not convinced about the concept.
