This flask offers superb performance, relatively light weight and a great price for what you get. The screw top has a slot down the side to allow easy pouring, while the lid can be used as a cup and has a plastic lining to prevent sore lips. You get instructions on the box too. This is a great flask that performs well.

I got myself a couple of these for my Chrimbo on the strength of the Trail review and boy what a disappointment they have been. Just pre-heating or pre-cooling them gives away just how poorly they insulate. Surely you shouldn't be able to tell whether the contents of a flask is hot or cold just by touching the outside ... ? I've only ever used them in a warm office environment so far and while the cold (iced water) contents do stay cold (more thanks to basic physics rather than by design methinks), hot contents only stay that way for a couple of hours. On a building site or in the great outdoors they would fare even worse. Ironically a Tatonka flask filled with hot water would make a good hot water bottle - it gives off a steady gentle heat, but I doubt that's intentional. Nope I'm afraid these will be going to the charity shop and I'll be getting some Thermos or Aladdins instead ... and I doubt I'll buy a Tatonka product again or completely believe a Trail review. There is no way these should have got 5 stars - I give them 1 star just for a cool brand name.
