Highlander Himalayan

These trekking poles from Highlander have a good handle. The carbon fibre makes for a more flexible pole than the aluminium usually used. The four sections suffer from frequent slippage – markings on the lower two sections would help identify the slipped section. The lowest section is so thin it is very hard to grip tight enough – and as usual, there is no grip provided for the bottom section. Rather short, with very poor straps.

Verdict: Limited height adjustment, and rather short and difficult to adjust, but they are very light and pack down small so would be OK for travelling abroad.
