These are incredibly lightweight and although this might indicate a lack of strength, they held together throughout the test despite being used in some fairly tricky conditions. They have no grippy plastic ferrules on the end of each section – useful for tightening and loosening the sections but also for protecting the open end of the section from damage – but this didn’t seem to cause any problems and does give them a lovely clean shape. The grips are soft, well-shaped and lovely and comfortable in the hand; and the straps are padded and comfy too. Overall they represent superb value for money.
