These have a high wool content, lovely soft feel and there was no slip or rucking at all. Thick, warm socks, which will suit some but not all. Great moisture management and no smell problems. They lose out on versatility for warmer weather use.

Verdict: A true contender and probably the best bet if you have cold feet or like plenty of padding.
