Deuter Widepac MEC 2 litre

This hydration system is made by Source and so it is identical to the Source Widepac 2 Litre in many ways, but the valve-to-bladder attachment is less sophisticated. Under 20kg of weight, there was no leak either, while the bag-within-bag technology should mean this is durable. The bite valve seals itself to prevent drips, though the hood is required to prevent leaks when the mouthpiece is squeezed by accident. But you cannot clean the feeder pipe as easily as the Source, as it cannot be removed so neatly. Some may prefer the screwtop filling designs or the locking bite valves.
