  • RE: I read with interest in Country Walking (October 2009) that iodine was to be banned from 26th Oct 2009. I am about to travel to Nepal for a walking holiday in late April 2010 and the information on treatment of local water is with iodine. In the mountains purifying water by boiling it is not possible as the porters see this as a wasted resource. Can you then advise me on my problem?
