Hi all. I'm the acting editor of Trail magazine. Despite always harboring a love of wild things, places, beard styles and facial ticks, my life unquestionably changed the night an upset moose laid siege to my tent for six hours in the Alaskan bush when I really, really, really needed the toilet. The experience scarred me for eternity and the trauma made me forget all my expensive university education, give journalism a go and develop an uncontrollable, unconscious urge to run for the toilet every time I saw anything with antlers. Trail magazine employed me soon afterwards. And these days I'm doing much better. Spare time wise I'm a music geek and play in a dreadful band, take photos when I can and enjoy looking through telescopes at the night sky. My favourite hill is Ben Hope, because of where it is and what you have to do to get there.
