Mauritius is spiky!

A few pics of Mauritian mountains I didn't have time to explore, what with getting married and all... They're in the 800m range and are climbed, mainly by tourists - when I quizzed one of the local drivers about them he replied "In Mauritius we don't like to climb so much... we like to drink rum."[8D]

You mean you didn't climb them? Getting married takes about 20 minutes, those photos took...a wee while each to take...then you left? Mad...really mad... Oh yes, congratulations...mad...

I should imagine he had better things to do on honeymoon than climb mountains, no matter HOW tempting!

Fair point, but it wouldve been so much more romantic to combine those other things(dunno what they could be-better than climbing mountains?? Surely not!! [:0]) with the mountain climbing, making ti a far better honeymoon.... [:D]

Re: Mauritius is spiky!

My wife's not really a mountain climber so I would have had to abandon her to her own devices while I ran off to have fun, not really fair on our honeymoon, and the days prior to our wedding were taken up with arrangements and legal stuff so with much regret I had to let the mountains go this time. (Photos were snatched from cars whisking us to appointments). But all is not lost, we plan to return for an anniversary when we've saved enough at which time I WILL go climbing. Who knows, she may even be climbing with me by then.
