Lake District - A Troutbeck Medley

Distance - 11miles
Ascent - 3272feet
Time - 5hr 40min

Route - Park in Church Bridge lay by - Sour Howes - Sallows - Lowther Brow - The Tongue - Troutbeck Park Farm - Bay Stones - Wansfell - Hundreds Road - Robin Lane - Back to the car

This walks ticks off 4 scattered Wainwright summits in the Far Easten Fells. Its not a classic walk but there are some good views along the way. The walk starts with a steep pull up to Sour Howes where you can see the days walk laid out in front of you. The small hill in the middle of the picture became a big discussion point as we made are way to the summit. We was convinced that it was far to small to be a Wainwright, as it didn't look much at all. We could not see what it could be apart from Troutbeck Tongue but we was still not sure.

Troutbeck Tongue is our only Wainwright left in this area and it doesn't look much, but tricky to get to easily, still hopefully it will make a good day out at Easter (we are sitting at 200, but scattered ones remaining except for one group).
