RE: eating only what you catch, forage and hunt hiking trip
does anyone on here care about bushcraft i think not, i like to backpack with food, but if you go in spring or summer and your in an area with good forest and water you should be able to live off the land, dont just think it will be easy tho, infact take atleast 2 days worth of food with you incase you do find yourself in the middle of no where without food, the link above is bullshit you wont die, maybe if your realy stupid you will that guy probs didnt have a warm sleeping bag, find some birch tree make a fire maybe tap them in spring for some sap, gather mushrooms (penny buns), nuts and neetles are good with some butter n salt on them, berrys and fruits are good, pine needle tea at nightime always a good drink, you could maybe fish if you get a permit, grey squirrel and some pigeons should be fine to be hunted, rabbits im not too sure about, cat tail root is good eating, if your gonna do this i would say do it in a remote part of scotland, england you arnt even aloud to camp cause our rules are ****, english rangers are mostly pricks thats what i've found.......just go out there have fun find yourself thats what its all about.
