I propose a meet up/**** up

Day in the Lake Ditsrict hills, followed by a **** up in my pub.  If we can get enough people, maybe we could think about doing it early november?

If anyone is up for it let me know in this thread, also let me know if you plan on inflicting violence on me so I can invest in a gum shield.

This was a genuine offer of a walk and free food afterwards.  Maybe I've brought this on myself, but everything online should be taken with a pinch of salt.  No need for your twatiness, Foxy.

Hi, I'm planning on visiting the Lakes on Thursday and Friday this week to do some walking on my lonesome.  Anyone feel free to join me.  Planning on Scafell Pike one day as I've not done this before.

Cheers

Foxy always follow me round Dartmoor too! One day he'll learn to read a map! ;-)

We've been through a few tight spots in tough weather on Dartmoor helping those unfortunate enough to lost/hurt. He's a good guy and if you ever meet him I'd suggest buying him a pint!

Don't know really... but then Sir Ran  was happy enough to follow you round Dartmoor!

Saw Sean this weekend for his 40th BTW, even managed to run this time, 26 miles around Ashford Forest, Kent. Even went over Winnie the Pooh's bridge - how cool is that!!

Jeez all so serious and bitchy! Some folk need to lighten up and see a tongue in cheek (and not arse cheek!!) comment when its made. So easy to mistake tone when reading seomthing written in text - but then some of the comments were blatant! Stop being so pathetic, slagging each other - if you don't like each other don't speak to each other . Simple!

And as for the walk 'biscuit boy', sounds good to me! As does the beer - does the missus cater for veggies? When in November you thinking so i can consult the 'diary' AKA the missus.

Hmmmmmmmm, i think your reading too much into the comments mate.

There are some of us who mays see each other as tawts on here, but personally given the time, money and no travel limitations, there's not a one i wouldn't happily spend time walking with, even biscuit boy. !

It's just online banter, and lets face it, this place would be dead without it.

Happy to hear it twiglegs - but judging by the number of people in the thread that seem to be put of by the tone i am not the only one that mistakenly read the banter. However maybe those people should therefore take heed of what i said and therefore its banter, and IF these guys didn't want to talk to each other they wouldn't, so along with me, they can stop making assumptions about how the tone reads, and enjoy the banter - and more importanly the walking! :)

Well, i can only speak for myself obviously, and i can see your point, but isn't it the same on all fora. ?

Even in real life i never hold grudges, too short aint it.

If it wasn't for the missus and 4 kids eating all my dosh i'd have probably taken biscuit boy up on the offer in reality, even though we all know he's a complete tw at.

For what its worth, people tend to put comments that are funny, witty for the fun of it - I know i do on different forums (athough being a newbie here Ill wait awhile!)

Dont recon SmartCooky meant anything by the comments, its not to be taken too seriously (tell me if im wrong SmartC).

Look, when like minded people meet up, things are often very different from online. We're British after all so all that awkardness has to take a leading role in out real life social interactions. I recon everyone that has posted in this thread (and ive read them all) are nice people.

So, lets take a chill pill. No sweat. Everything is fine. Nothing to see here - move along now!!!
