GPS/satnav

Time has finally come where I need to buy a portable satnav for work. So to make things easier for me to come to terms with I am concidering something I can also use out in the hills.

I have looked at a few in the reviews on the net, but I am still not 100% At the moment I am thinking of the Coloerado 300 but what do others think?

Re: GPS/satnav

RamblingJack, When you say using it for work what use does that entail?

There are some good offers out at the minute on the following touchscreen GPS which come with full UK OS mapping:

Memorymap 2800 - can be found around £250

Garmin Dakota 20 - around £350

Garmin Oregan 450 - around £400

Sorry, I should have made that  a bit clearer, for work use it will be used in a car in the way a tom-tom would.

Aha, that rules out the suggestions I mentioned before then! Possibly have a look at the new Memory Map 3800. Fully waterproof, 3.8 inch touchscreen, turn by turn road nav function (tom tom esk), also preloaded with all GB OS map coverage. Not sure on price though but I'm sure it'll be on net somewhere.
