Re: The Dartmoor Meet 12-14 June
Wow!!! What a lovely day..................great company, and seamless integration into Trail folklore are SmallG.Wellies and Bazzer......really nice to meet you and hope to see you again.
A debt of thanks to Bazz for leading us round as the fine "local expert".......interest all the way...clapper bridge, high moors, waterfall, stone circle, pub, forest to finish.Brilliant.
Thanks to Col. Mustard for organising and "getting off the ground" a meet which has been shunned by most . Simply because it hasn't any mountains, too far south for you? Well you are missing out my friends. Stunning scenery and interesting folklore. OH! almost forgot. The moors have sheep which fight you for the use of the road. I mean, they lay in the middle of it and dare you to run them over. This also applies to the cattle and Darmoor ponies (cute!). Care needed
I felt much happier going knowing we had the benefit of Wurz's invaluable local knowledge, thanks.
Unfortunately I had to miss the final day, but I hope all have a gud un, and return home safe.
"Well, I'm standing next to a mountain........an' I chop it down with the edge of hand........huh, huh"
