Where can I look to plan a route combining several forms of transport, such as trains, busses and flights?

The different transport forms all have their own sites (for example, for travel by train you’d do well to visit www.nationalrail.co.uk However, there are few sites that allow you to plan a mixed transport journey. A good one for this is the government’s free transport planning site, www.transportdirect.info. It saves the headache of trying to synchronise all the arrival and departure times yourself!
