Where can I find travel advice for my next holiday?

Answer

Trail magazine

By Trail magazine

Travel equipment specialist Lifesystems – champion of the micro towel and the foldaway washbag with mirror – has launched a website (www.lifesystems.co.uk/globe) that promises to take the hassle out of independent travel. The new site contains health advice, vaccination requirements, geography and climate information for more than 100 popular travel destinations. There are links to the latest security news feeds from the Foreign Office, plus links to BBC weather, an online currency converter, insurance supplier and travel health clinics.
If you’re heading somewhere wild in the world and need to sort yourself out, it makes for a useful one-stop-shop.

Planning ahead is the best way to make travel with kids easier. This is especially true with unaccompanied children. Different airlines have different rules and restrictions for unaccompanied children. For example, some allow younger children only on nonstop flights. Because only ticketed passengers are usually allowed past security, you may have to contact the airline ahead of time to get permission to escort a child to the gate. Some airlines may issue a "companion pass" that allows you to escort your unaccompanied child.
