What sort of boot do I need for scrambling?
By Trail magazine
Scrambling is easier if you wear a boot with a stiff sole, as this allows you to put a lot of weight on your toes without straining your foot muscles, ankles and calves. Try a stiff 3-season boot or a slightly stiffer 3-4 season boot if you are doing lots of long scrambles.
