What is the highest un-climbed peak in the world?

Gangkhar Puensum (7570m), and since it became illegal to climb peaks over 6000m in Bhutan in 1998 in deference to local beliefs, it is likely to stay that way for some time.

Gangkhar Puensum, 7570 m (24,836 feet), in Bhutan, on or near the border with Tibet. Climbing high mountains has been prohibited since 1994 in Bhutan
