South side: Pemba Dorje Sherpa, 8 hours 10 minutes on 21 May 2004. North side: Austrian Christian Stangl from North Advanced Base Camp, 16 hours 42 minutes on 24/25 May 2006.

Pemba Dorjie, On May 21 2004 total time of 8 hours and 10 minutes, with O2 on the South Side Christian Stangl (Austrian), who reached the summit without using supplementary O2, 16 hours and 42 minutes after leaving ABC on May 25 2006, this was on the North Side The South side without O2 is held by Marc Batard (French) on September 26 1988, 22hours 30 min Batard is attempting to break Stangl's record in the 2008 season
