This is a festival held to celebrate the Himalayan people, their culture and landscapes. In 2007 the event, which was held as part of the National Mountaineering Exhibition at Rheged, Cumbria from 21-27 October, comprised of an authentic Nepalese market, talks from famous mountaineers such as Chris Bonington and Mike Fowler, photographic exhibitions, music family-friendly activities, yoga lessons and the opportunity to meet people who live and work in the Himalayas.
